Join history storyteller Maureen Esther at Meadow Brook Hall for informative and entertaining looks at some of history’s most fascinating times and people. Esther will hold two lectures in April, one focusing on structures in England and France and the other on armor.
On Monday, April 7, Esther will present “Castles, Cathedrals and the Crusades.” The lecture will focus on how these great structures were built in England and France and how the crusades influenced their architecture.
On Monday, April 14, Esther will present “Maiden’s Jewelry and Knight’s Armor.” This presentation will include delicate pieces of adornment to massive metal forms of protection and gallantry.
Both lectures are from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and take place in the ballroom of Meadow Brook Hall. Light refreshments will be available. Tickets are $8 per person. Reservations are required.
