Meadow Brook Theatre presents “Moonlight and Magnolias” by Ron Hutchinson from through April 13. The show centers around the comic antics of writing the film, “Gone with the Wind.” In addition, a “Gone with the Wind” forum will be held on Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to noon.
“Moonlight and Magnolias” takes the audience into the inner sanctum of 1939 Hollywood for one hilarious week. Three icons of the film industry battle over how to save what became one of the greatest movies ever made, “Gone With the Wind.” This is the Michigan premier of this production.
Talkbacks for “Moonlight and Magnolias” will be held during the March 19-21 performances, which begin at 8 p.m.
As a special event, Meadow Brook Theatre welcomes Mickey Kuhn on Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to noon. Kuhn was in “Gone with the Wind” playing Ashley Wilkes’ son, Beau. Kuhn will be joined by Kathleen Marcaccio, who is called the “Gone with the Wind Answer Lady.” Marcaccio will also bring memorabilia from the film. The forum is sponsored by the Matilda R. Wilson Fund.
Tickets to the forum are $10 for general admission.
