The Center for Student Activities is hosting the annual Oakland University Photography Contest beginning March 31 through April 1. Enter black and white or color photos for a chance to win cash prizes.
Students and employees can enter their masterpieces in the Oakland University Photography Contest. A three-judge panel will rank pictures in the black and white and color categories. A cash prize will be given to the top three photos.
All photos will be on display in the Oakland Center Fireside Lounge from Monday, March 31 through Tuesday, April 1.
Entrants cannot have previously won a photography contest. All photos must be a minimum of 36 square-inches and must be matted or framed. Frames cannot contain glass and there must be a mounting mechanism on the back. No names or titles can appear on the front of the photo.
While there is no constraint on content, the photos must be in good taste. There is a limit of three photographs per category per person. The categories are black and white and color. Each category will have first and second place prizes, along with honorable mentions. First place will receive $150, second place will receive $100 and third place will receive $50. Honorable mentions do not receive cash awards.
There is no entry fee for the photo contest. All photo contest entries and entry forms must be received by the Center for Student Activities by Friday, March 28 at 5 p.m. For more information, contact the Center for Student Activities at (248) 370-2400 or csa@oakland.edu.
