For fall 2008 registration, course prerequisites for mathematics, statistics, psychology (MTH, MOR, MTE, STA, APM, PSY) and all School of Business Administration courses will be verified as you register and will be strictly enforced. If you plan to register for a course in one of these areas, please make certain that you have completed the appropriate prerequisite.
You will be unable to register for a course for which you do not meet the approved prerequisite. If you are enrolled currently in a prerequisite course, you will be permitted to register for the next course. The process assumes that you will complete the prerequisite course successfully. If however, you do not complete the prerequisite course with the required grade, you will not be permitted to remain in the next course.
If you completed the prerequisite course at another institution and it will not appear on your Oakland University record at the time of registration, please meet with an academic adviser in your unit to discuss your options.
If you have questions regarding this policy, please meet with an academic adviser in your college or school.
The following are recommended means for contacting the advising office in your unit:
Students who are not in good financial standing by early August, meaning they had not paid all prior semester bills, will be taken out of their fall classes. Students will be required to re-enroll for classes based on class availability if they correct their financial standing by paying prior balances in full. To stay in good financial standing, pay all OU bills on or before their due date.
Fall classes will begin Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008 at 5 p.m.
