In honor of Women’s History Month, Oakland University’s Student Life Lecture Board will host feminist author and activist Naomi Wolf on Wednesday, April 2 at 7 p.m. in the Oakland Center Banquet Rooms.
Born in San Francisco in 1962, Wolf graduated from Yale University and was a Rhodes Scholar at New College, Oxford University. Her latest book, “The End of America: Letter of Warning to Young Patriots,” is an impassioned call to action to Americans from all walks of life to restore the checks and balances in our government in order to protect against abuses of power. Her lecture will explore issues that are currently affecting the United States. A book signing will follow the lecture.
Oakland University is celebrating Women’s History Month throughout the month of March. OU’s Gender and Sexuality Center has coordinated a variety of events around the theme “Women in Politics,” which are designed to showcase powerful female voices.
