University Technology Services announces the launch of OakShare, an online, centralized storage option available to OU students, faculty, and staff with a NetID. The new storage application allows users to store, share, and access files from any computer with an Internet connection.
Users log into OakShare and find a user-friendly interface that makes uploading, sharing, and downloading easy. Users can store all types of files in OakShare and organize the files using directories. Each directory and subdirectory can be given different sharing permissions making it convenient to share information with different groups.
Using management features, users can create groups, collaborate on documents, log changes, and track versions all from a Web browser. OakShare also can be used to host Web sites and allows users to create subscriptions to learn when a document has been accessed or modified.
To log into OakShare, visit https://files.oakland.edu.
UTS has created extensive help documentation to assist users in getting started with OakShare. For more information, contact Client Services at (248) 370-4357 or e-mail helpdesk@oakland.edu.
