Upcoming Transfer Open Houses will give community college and university students interested in transferring to Oakland University the opportunity to learn more about the distinctive Oakland education and admission process. The next open house is planned for Thursday, March 13 from 5:30-7 p.m.
Prospective students will be able to ask questions about requirements or opportunities from academic advisers from each department. The future Grizzlies can apply to OU and receive an immediate admissions decision by bringing unofficial transcripts from each college or university attending to the open house.
There also will be information about academic programs, admissions requirements, financial aid, general education requirements and transfer credit procedures. Representatives will be available to answer questions and concerns about transferring credits from other institutions. Accepted students can sign up for orientation at the open house as well.
Two other Transfer Open Houses are planned for the coming months. One will be held Wednesday, May 14 and another will be Wednesday, July 16. Both will be held from 5-7:30 p.m.
