Pontiac Oakland Symphony concert features OU artists

Two OU student musicians will be featured in 11th Annual David Daniels Young Artists Concert will be presented Sunday, Feb. 10, 3 p.m. in the Varner Recital Hall.

Jennifer Shinska, a trombonist from New Baltimore, and Ashley Maria Bahri, a soprano vocalist from West Bloomfield, will join the Pontiac Oakland Symphony Orchestra on the Varner Recital Hall stage.

The concert will feature works by Berlioz and Gustav Mahler and is sponsored in part by the Vivian Vivio Stolaruk and Steve Stolaruk Foundation.

Tickets are $25 general admission, $20 for seniors, $15 for students and are available at the Varner Box Office, open Tuesday-Friday, 3-6 p.m. and one hour prior to the performance.
