The OUAA is now offering scholarships that directly benefit alumni and their family members. If you are a graduate of Oakland University who is currently pursuing a second degree at OU, you are eligible to apply for a Returning Alumni Scholarship. Maybe you are a parent or grandparent of a current or incoming Oakland University freshman. If so, they may qualify to apply for a Legacy Scholarship. Both scholarships offered are $3,000 non-renewable awards that will be distributed for the fall 2008 and winter 2009 semesters. You must be a current member of the alumni association to qualify and students must meet the minimum GPA requirements to apply.
Applications are also now available to current OU students through the OUAA for the 2008-09 academic year. These scholarships are open to any undergraduate student with junior or senior status by fall 2008. Scholarship recipients must have two or more full-time semesters remaining in their academic program and must have a 3.0 GPA in their major field of study, as well as a cumulative 3.0 GPA at OU. At least one of the scholarships will be awarded to a student representing each of the schools and the College of Arts and Sciences.
