During Welcome Week a number of tables line the main hallway of the Oakland Center with information on events and students organization. One table will offer students the chance to take a free road trip to cheer on OU’s basketball teams as they take on Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne in Indiana on Saturday, Jan. 19.
Students can pick up vouchers from the table during Welcome Week. The vouchers must be redeemed for tickets on Jan. 15 and 16 from noon-2 p.m. in the Oakland Center main hallway. Tickets will be given to the first 200 students. Those unable to redeem tickets in person should call the Athletic Office at (248) 370-3161.
The road trip starts with breakfast in the Vandenberg Dining Center at 8 a.m. on Jan. 19. Students will leave OU at 9 a.m. and return to Vandenberg Hall at 10 p.m. The trip includes food, transportation, game day tickets and prizes, including flat screen TV, PlayStation games, T-shirts, backpacks and free entry to special tailgating days.
